Kinetic Task Administration
Kinetic Task Manager
Web based console used for Task Engine Configuration, Task Handler maintenance, and Exception and Execution monitoring..
The Kinetic Task Engine is controlled with two consoles that have related parts. You must have at least a Kinetic Task Manager license to use them. The consoles control the task engine settings, manage the integrations with other applications (like BMC Remedy), show individual tasks, let you create and modify trees, and control access for other applications that are using the Task Engine.
Task Administration
The Task Administration console is used to control the Kinetic Task Engine’s main settings. It is divided into four sub consoles tabs.
Server
Properties
The properties tab controls the connection to the Remedy server, the accounts used by the engine, notifications, logging, and encryption. Click the “Edit Properties” button to change the properties. Each section has a Help symbol on a blue dot that explains each setting in the section. Hover over this symbol for a detailed explanation of each value. After making changes to the settings, click the “Update Properties” button on the bottom of the page.
Task Engine
The task engine tab shows you if it’s running and allows you to start and stop the engine.
Environment
All license, server, system and dependencies are listed here. This tab is useful to identify problems with installation of the task engine.
