Pages and Content

Adding Content (Pages, Sections, Text, and Buttons) to your Onboarding form.

Two types of pages, Submittable and Confirmation.

Based on requirements, the onboarding form will have three submittable and one confirmation page.

Submittable is a type of page that contains questions that are submitted to the database. It includes a Submit button.

Confirmation is a type of page that does not submit answers to the database. No rule against putting questions on the page - just no submitting.

It is possible to use a default confirmation page. Check settings for your kapp.

Each page requires a Name that is unique per Form. The Submit button is named and labeled by default, you can change if needed.

Display Condition determines if the page is displayed when it is next in line.

Display condition is meant to skip pages if the customer doesn't need to complete the page. We can use this later to only display pages if the new employee needs specific equipement.

Advance Condition determines if the Page should be submitted.

In a standard Request scenario, this option is rarely used. Save for later is included as a button option, so there needs to be another reason to save the page but not submit.

Note the arrows on elements on the left panel. Click the arrow to automatically add the element to the page.

A section is meant as a container for a selection of elements, including another Section. Once you have added your section to your form, you can either drag existing elements or select from the list of elements.

The onboarding clone of the template form includes section for buttons and hidden questions.

An option with sections is to add a title. It appears above the top element of the section, depending on the bundle/theme.

Note the arrows on the elements on the left panel. Click an arrow to automatically add it to the selected section.

Two options are available for text, HTML and Plain Text. Both require a Name and then have an option for entering the text itself.

Plain Text

If you do not need the features of HTML, plain text only requires you to type (including spaces, and hard returns) into the Text Content field.

Of course requires use of html, but the HTML Content field includes some formatting help for HTML.

As you add pages, Submit buttons are added by default. Add buttons from the Content list on the left and set the button type as needed.

Default button type. Page is submitted and answers (if all validations are passed) are saved.

Label is the value shown to the customer.

Allows the user to move back to the previous page. Does not save the answers on the current page.

Save for Later

Answers are saved and customer remains on the same page.

Create your own action using an Event.

Form Elements and Fields have to have unique names - by element or field. You can have a question and a section with the same name. You cannot have two sections with the same name.
